How do I invite someone?
- Open the Family tab and tap Add family member.
- Tap Send invite, or show the QR code.
- The other phone needs Rally from the App Store. Once it’s installed, they tap the link or scan the QR code. Rally asks “Join family name?” before joining.
You can put a child’s name in the invite, or the child can type it on their phone.
An invite doesn’t work
- Check that Rally is installed, then open the link again.
- Ask for a new invite. A grown-up may have made new codes, which ends all earlier invites.
- The link must contain a Family ID and a code. If either is missing, ask for a new invite.
How do I remove someone?
On the Family tab, tap the … button next to their name, then Remove from family. Only grown-ups can remove someone.
Their name and look are deleted, and the family’s invite codes change.
How do I take a break?
On the Family tab, tap the … button next to your name, then Taking a break…
A break has a reason (sick, away, holiday, busy or other), a first day and an optional last day. A grown-up can set a break for someone else from the … button next to that person’s name. When the break ends, Rally removes it, reason included.
Notifications
- For the whole family: a grown-up opens Plan from the Today screen and, under When you add actions, chooses Aloud, Quiet or Off.
- For your own phone: on your iPhone, go to Settings → Notifications → Rally.
If someone has jobs but ticks nothing for a few days in a row, Rally checks in at 6 pm family time: a gentle nudge after 2 days, “Taking a break?” after 3, and a note to the family’s grown-ups after 4.
How do I delete my account?
On the Family tab, tap the gear icon to open Settings, then tap Delete account.
If you are the last member, the whole family is deleted with its plan and history. The privacy policy explains what is deleted and what stays.
I signed out. How do I get back?
- Grown-ups: sign in again with the same Apple or Google account, and your family is there.
- Children: ask a grown-up for a new invite.
